There is not anything good that comes free!
To live that life with power over sickness, power over demons, power over the elements when they are flowing contrary to your purpose. That kind of power does not just come but if you are willing to pay the price it is worth it.
James gives us a price list, Submit to God, or surrender to God.
That is the most expensive Item ………The I and the My must change to Him, Paul said I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live, yet not I but Christ lives in me.
You must surrender your will to God.
Draw nigh or draw close to him, and by doing so you naturally are drawn away from the devil.
James breaks it down: Cleanse your hands, purify your heart, cease from being double minded.
This is the price to pay, it is not cheap but it is worth it.
The position you have in Christ is measured by the price you pay, salvation is free, but there is an initial price to pay. You must die to self
When you go to a theme park they stamp you with an invisible ink, once you have that stamp you can go as you please, you can go on any ride; once you have that stamp every ride is free. Let me tell you when you give your life completely to Jesus you receive a stamp with that stamp there are benefits, not rides but blessings, sometimes that mark is not visible, but the management knows it. Even so salvation is free, and allows you to access many things.
There is a place where you can be in God where you can enjoy life to the maximum, Jesus in laymen's terms said " ask what you will that you can live life to the maximum," I am sorry Mr religious person God wants you to be happy, yes with persecutions ect but your joy far outweighs the setbacks in life.

James is giving us a key to absolute power over the Devil,
You can have a good job and not have power of Satan, you can be gifted even with a spiritual gift and not have power over the devil, You can have a big church even a TV ministry and not have power over the devil.
To have true power you must humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God.
When your under his hand you can use his finger
Did not Jesus say " I by the Finger of God cast out devils."
Satan trembles when he sees even the weakest saint on his knees.
You can live a life not that is free from problems but a life where you have guaranteed victory over the problem.
Saints of God we aren't fully there yet but were not far from it.
We are victorious we are more than conquerors through Christ that, greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.
Paul himself was going through a trial, he sought the Lord three times, the thing would not leave, the prophetic word came to him, my grace is sufficient for thee.
My strength will be your strength.
You can make it Paul, we can also make it with God on our side,

But this kind of life does not come cheap there is a price to pay.
There cannot be any, bartering, or bargaining, it is a fixed priced, deny yourself, take up your cross, submit to God. Surrender to his will.
