Prayer is the key to spiritual growth. This is one exercise we must not let slip.

Jude 20-24

But ye, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves£ in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference, But others save with fear, snatching [them] out of the fire;£hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

The Persistent prayer!

Luke 18

" Men should pray and not faint"

This parable is an invitation by our Lord to be persistent.

Jesus uses a widow the most vulnerable person in that society, in fact even today in certain cultures they burn widows with their husbands even thou it is outlawed.

The next point is that the judge, is indifferent, and unable to be influenced by anybody, neither does he care about anyone. The woman goes to the judge with a petition, and that is what prayer is, it is petitioning God.( Formal request)

The one thing the woman has and that is determination, daily even weekly she goes to the judge, now look at this, the Judge which is the complete opposite to our loving father responds, even though he does not care about her.

How much more then will our Loving father respond to us if we are persistent.

Never give up our lord will answer you.
