Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.
Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes."

They have been in Captivity, it affected them as a people

God according to prophesy brings them out by Cyrus, 50,000 with Zarubabel ect, a descendant of Christ

According to Haggia the are prevented from building and stop for 12 years
We can overcome opposition once we have Jesus on our side

How Can we Return to God? That is the Premise

Start this year with Jesus

Seek The Lord and by Doing This you will find Purpose for your own life. You will discover the Goodness of God

We have for the last two weeks been sharing about the return of the exiles that were in Babylon, and making application to our own lives.
So they have returned under the leadership of Zarubabel the Governor also known as sheshbazzar . About 50,000 exodus babylon with him, they begin the build the temple that was destroyed by Nebucharadin, they verys soon experience oppsition from the Neighbouring nations. The building stops, God has prophets like Haggia and Zechariah to stir them up, they continue to build and the temple is finally completed.
There are still some issues among the people, they again have become laps to the things of God.
One thing you need to know is that just because you got saved, and you dropped a few things there are still some issues and areas in your life that God must deal with.
God raises up a man called Ezra, he is a scribe a pen man, he is responsible for the writing of the books he is responsible for interpreting the Law also both religious and civil.
I am not sure while he came so much later after Zarubabel but it was in Gods timing.
Zechariah and Haggia are no longer on the scene.
Onne of the things I can pick up from this study is the amount of time it all takes, and the different people involved, the different gifts that were needed. God uses men.

Sometimes we worry about our life, or our situation, ,we even get anxious when we see others advancing, but growing in God and his purpose is not overnight, it takes time to grow. God has a different calendar to us, on our calendar it says by now God should have moved.
In a small village min wale the have Just celebrated the new year , because they have a different Calender , they refused to change the New 400, years ago when pope Gregory ordered it.
Lets go by the true calendar, Gods one.

Many people are involved, different gifts. It is a foreshadow of the five fold ministry.
Zarubabel is the Apostle he lays the foundation the cornerstone

Haggia & Zechariah are the Prophets and Evangelist

Ezra the scribe is the Pastor who as Paul commanded Titus to put things in ord er.

Seeks the lord….seek and you shall find, repentance is always involved

Gods Faithfulness

God is Good

Why such a message is relevant, it is a demonstration of God Goodness he is a restorer

God has not finished with your Life

The End Result is Joy, from true worship
